
Rockpunch is an Atlanta-based media production company specializing in geek and gamer themed content. Their crew approached me with a need to completely rebrand their channel. Over the course of several months I helped them formulate a new look. Their goal is to “stand out in a sea of content by remaining flexible, genuine to [our] geek roots, and set trends rather than follow them.”

Rockpunch’s logo design was inspired by Mayor Rockpunch, a character from one of their original YouTube shorts, Neon Dragons. The main font used in the logo – Honeyvoid – emulates the painted-on style that you can see on the board that Mayor Rockpunch carries in the video.

BRAND MISSION
Rockpunch exists to uppercut the usual. The brand is a safe place for the weird, for the revoluntionary, for media that can’t be contained by genre or style. The Rockpunch label is an indiciator of premium entertainment that promises one thing above all–to aggressively pursue their own voice.

Rockpunch’s unique identity represents their mission through the use of bold visual elements and typographical styles. These styles promote flexibility and allow the brand to transcend above the usual.

Rockpunch also requested a set of unique branded elements for their weekly trivia nights hosted at Battle & Brew and other Atlanta venues. Assets produced include a custom rules banner, table-tent advertising and business cards.
